ForgeFX is proud to present this collection of simulation software projects that we've completed over the years. Interactive 3D technology applies to a broad range of applications and the examples in this showcase represent a good cross-section of the industries we serve.

Training Simulation Software

Training Simulations provide the next best thing to a real-life experience. Using interactive 3D technology gives us the ability to create a simulation which replicates much of the realism of the real world environment, while eliminating many of the associated risks and costs.

The Global Ground Support Aircraft Deicing Simulator, developed by ForgeFX, is 3D training simulation software for airport ground support equipment operators. The simulation allows operators to be trained, tested, and assessed in a safe, risk-free, and low cost environment.

Pfizer Animal Health partnered with Carthage Veterinary Services and ForgeFX to develop the Pfizer Virtual Pork Production Simulator, named Virtual Walking the Pens. Pfizer Animal Health’s dedication to the health and wellness of animals, and a commitment to research combine to help protect the health of farm animals and the productivity of livestock. The training and education taught by the simulator allows pork producers to help pigs stay healthy, resulting in a more profitable operation.

The Farmers Insurance CyberLab, developed by ForgeFX, is an interactive 3D training simulation that falls within the Serious Games category. Its purpose is to teach prospective claims agents the process of determining the amount of damage a residence has sustained to arrive at a claim.

Immersive Learning Simulations

Educational simulations allow students to become immersed in the learning process. Transforming them from passive observes of linear material, to active hands-on operators of interactive content.

This project simulates the Design and Test Process, using the development and testing of a paintball launcher in a real-time 3D simulation. Students must create machines capable of performing three unique tasks.

Seismic waves are vibrations that travel through Earth carrying the energy released during an earthquake. This real-time 3D application allows users to create seismic waves of any magnitude and pass them through terrains.

This interactive real-time 3D training simulation demonstrates automobile maintenance basics to students. This interactive 3D training simulation is one of many Shockwave 3D projects developed by ForgeFX for Adobe to demonstrate the real-time 3D capabilities of Adobe Director.

Serious Games

Serious Games are designed using game design principles and game technology for purposes other than pure entertainment. Serious Games are simulations that turn modern audiences into active participants by engaging them in an immersive virtual environment relevant to the industry associated with the game.

Heifer International, Beaconfire, and ForgeFX collaborated to build a serious game that teaches players about poverty and hunger. The game is called Heifer Village: Nepal, and its goal is to simulate the challenges faced by those living in poverty and hunger, and to demonstrate some specific methods to address these issues. The project also aims to provide a window of direct experience into a part of the world, and a way of life, which most people would otherwise never experience.

Entertainment Products

Fast-running online and offline real-time 3D games and entertainment titles are very popular and a highly effective way of reaching target audiences. We create everything from PC Games to Advegames to Serious Games to Casual Games.

Help put the chill on global warming in Stunt Bike Arctic, the sequel is to the hit game Stunt Bike Island. This time you are Otis, a polar bear who lives in the rapidly melting arctic region. It is here that this crazy bear loves to ride his bike, pulling off spectacular jumps over ice bergs and glaciers. If the temperature gets too high, the ice will melt and there won't be any place left for Otis to ride. Help keep the arctic frozen so that Otis can stay dry and ride forever.

Stunt Bike Island is a browser-based, real-time 3D game, that takes place on lovely virtual tropical islands. Spend some time launching yourself into the air while doing back flips, yahoos, tail whips, and an assortment of other insane stunts. Try to beat the scores on the high score board, or just enjoy exploring the islands. Stunt Bike Island, a game that is fun for the entire family, has been licensed by a number of gaming sites including Shockwave, ArcadeTown, Oberon, and MySpace.

ForgeFX teamed up with Intuicode to develop a real-time 3D golf game named IQ Golf. IQ Golf is a unique 3D game that combines two favorite pastimes, golf and trivia, in a game atmosphere. While challenging and fun, the game is also easy to play.

The ForgeFX technical team helped General Amusements build a CD-ROM Title for Bandai. The CD-ROM accompanied Bandai's Power Ranger Action Figures. A virtual control panel for the Bandai Power Rangers Datazord, the game provides a digital activity box for kids.

Advergaming

Advergames are games that are developed with the intent of advertising a product to the players of the game. These games, which are often part of a larger marketing effort, are generally free to play over the internet and help promote the brand.

McCafé Madness is a browser-based advergame that ForgeFX developed with Firefly Interactive for McDonald's McCafé. Can't sneak out of work for McCafé time? Then play McCafé Madness. Maneuver through the streets of Hawaii without spilling the McCafé drink on the roof of your car.

ForgeFX, in partnership with BBDO and Organic, developed Sebring Lane Change, a Chrysler branded video game that creates an immersive consumer experience around the Chrysler Sebring.

Simulation Based Training

Simulation-based training provides many benefits to commercial and military industries, allowing trainees to test and hone their skills in a safe virtual environment.

Tired of complicated assembly instructions? Developed for American Woods, these interactive 3D assembly instructions clearly show consumers how to assemble their real-world product. Users can view every step of assembly, from any angle or distance, in textured 3D.

ForgeFX developed this Flash 3D ad campaign for Nissan USA while working with TBWA/Chiat/Day. This promotional piece features an online Flash 3D driving simulator for the Pathfinder, Frontier, and Xterra.

Built for Hallmark, ForgeFX built this interactive 3D version of the Millennium Express Train Christmas Ornament. Customers can operate the train and whistle on the ornament, and look at it from any distance before deciding to purchase it online. Providing interactive 3D representations of products, retailers can more easily put their products in consumer's hands, leading to a higher rate of purchase.
