Training Simulation Software Industries

Simulation-based learning software has been embraced for decades by many industries as an integral tool in their training curriculum. ForgeFX develops custom 3D training simulation software for companies and organizations in the following industries:

Aerospace and Aviation

Aerospace engineering, the science behind the design and construction of aircraft, has long been an industry leader in the development of 3D training simulation software. An industry known mostly for flight training simulators, aerospace and aviation companies also develop 3D training-based simulators for many airport maintenance ground support equipment operators.

Aircraft Deicing Training Simulator

Aircraft Deicing Training Simulator

The Global Ground Support Aircraft Deicing Simulation is a 3D training simulation software package developed by ForgeFX for airport ground support equipment operators. The simulation allows users to train for mission critical tasks in a safe and low-cost environment.

Farming and Agriculture

Farming and Agriculture covers everything involved in the production of food and goods through farming and forestry. In the modern world, farming and agriculture are preformed at a large scale, within tight profit margins, and are critical to densely populated societies. Training simulation software helps all of the agricultural sciences train for real-world situations, without incurring any of the associated risks to livestock, crops, and personnel.

Livestock Production Training Simulation

Pork Production Training Simulation

Pfizer Animal Health partnered with Carthage Veterinary Services and ForgeFX to develop the Pfizer Virtual Pork Production Simulator named Virtual Walking the Pens. The training and education taught by the simulator allows pork producers to help pigs stay healthy, resulting in a more profitable operation.

Training and Education

People learn best by doing, and computer based simulations provide these experiential learning tools to students. Borrowing video game technology to keep students engaged, training simulation software gives them a virtual hands on experience to learn real-world concepts and skills.

Training and Education Simulations

Immersive Learning Simulations

Pearson Prentice Hall is the leading publisher of standards-based instruction materials for 6-12 grade classrooms. Since 2003 ForgeFX has been developing immersive learning simulations and eLearning software for Pearson Prentice Hall, helping them to create exceptional educational tools to ensure the success of students.

Health Care and Medicine

The health care industry treats patients who are injured, sick, or disabled. Typically divided into health care equipment & services, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, & related life sciences. Medical simulations allow health care professionals and students to test their diagnostic and clinical skills without putting patients at risk. Medical training simulations provide realistic virtual environments for health care providers to train for medical procedures in a safe and risk-free environment.

Health Care and Medical Simulators

Dental Training Simulation

The Virtual Dental Implant Training Simulation Program, developed by the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, was designed to help dental students learn and reinforce dental implant procedures. This training simulation allows students to work on multiple patients and clinical scenarios.

Construction and Heavy Equipment

The construction industry encompasses the trades like carpentry, paining, plumbing, and electrical that are required for the building of residential, industrial, and commercial structures. Training simulation software for heavy equipment operators, civil engineers, and surveyors is becoming common in the modern industrialized world.

Construction and Heavy Equipment Training Simulator

Heavy Equipment Operator Training Simulator

John Deere offers training simulators for their Excavators, Loaders, and Motor Graders. These 3D training simulators are a safe and efficient way to train operators and teach proper technique while avoiding the problems associated with fuel costs, risk to personnel, and equipment damage.

Military and National Defense

The defense industry is comprised of government and commercial organizations involved in research, development, and production of military equipment and services. Often referred to as war games, military training simulation software allows for the mission critical concepts of warfare to be tested and refined without the need for damage or loss of life.

Emergency Services

The core emergency services are Police, Fire and Rescue, and Emergency Medical. Providing community safety and reducing crime, extinguishing fires to prevent the destruction of property, and providing ambulances and medical workers to emergencies. These services are comprised of highly technical professionals, who require years of training and education, including emergency services training simulation software.

Mining and Metals Extraction

The mining industry involves the extraction of valuable minerals and materials from the earth. Mined materials include metals, uranium, coal, limestone, and diamonds. Mining simulators depend on fast physics and rendering engines to accurately generate the virtual environments used to train for mining operations and generate statistical analysis.

Operators who train with the Immersive Technologies virtual mining and advanced equipment simulators are more capable when working in real-world sites. Use of the simulator leads to improved training, safety, and operation reduction which leads to less maintenance and extended life of equipment.

Petroleum and Gas

The petroleum industry includes the processes of exploration, extraction, refining, transporting, and marketing of petroleum products - mainly oil and gasoline. Oil and gas training simulations allow professionals to improve acquisition, optimize asset management, and conduct training exercises in a safe and risk-free environment.

Stavanger Offshore Technical College, in cooperation with COSL and National Oilwell Varco has begun to use an interactive 3D drilling training simulator. The simulation training software provides a virtual recreation of a drill deck on a modern oil platform that is under construction.

Transportation and Automotive

The transportation industry involves everything that is involved in the movement of people and goods from one location to another. Typically divided into infrastructure, vehicles, and operations - transportation is performed by a number of modes including air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline, and space.

Non-Profit and Charitable Organizations

Non-profit and charitable organizations are groups that do not distribute their surplus funds to owners and shareholders, but rather use them to help achieve their goals. In their efforts to provide programs and services for the benefit of the public, non-profit and charitable organizations commonly develop simulations known as Serious Games, or Games For Change, to help spread the message of their mission.

Non-Profit and Charitable Organization Serious Games

Serious Game

Heifer International, Beaconfire, and ForgeFX collaborated to build a serious game that teaches players about poverty and hunger. The game is called Heifer Village: Nepal, and its goal is to simulate the challenges faced by those living in poverty and hunger, and to demonstrate some specific methods to address these issues.
